Onel is from Cité Soleil, one of the poorest and most dangerous cities in Haiti.
After years of dedication and perseverance, Onel was able to start a school and now provides education to 600+ kids in Cité Soleil.
Onel gives hope to children for whom everything seems unachievable. Kids who know pain and who come from a similar impoverished background as him.
Regardless of the difficult work conditions 100% of his students successfully pass the national 9th grade exam. One of the major challenges that "École Mixte Petit Cœur de Jesus" faces is the ability to provide food to enable the children to learn.
Most of the kids suffer from malnutrition and go to school with empty bellies. That leads to low attention in the classrooms and having to end classes early.
Our goal is to help Onel pursue his mission of providing meals and quality education to his students. With every sale 5% will contribute to Onel’s mission at École Mixte Petit Cœur de Jesus.
